News today that the pending Indian Supreme Court case being pursued by Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis, has been postponed. This is due to another court case over-running. The Novartis case has now been scheduled to begin on Tuesday 11th September 2012.
The case fundamentally threatens the supply of affordable medicines from India to the developing world. The Stop AIDS Campaign, as part of a global movement of activists and civil society organisations, have been campaigning for Novartis to drop the case.
